Brad Stevens turned down 7-year, $70M offer from Indiana: Report

Indiana didn’t fail to sign Brad Stevens for lack of trying.  The Boston Celtics head coach reportedly turned down the Hoosiers last month before IU eventually hired Mike Woodson as its head basketball coach. Now we know just how much IU coveted Stevens. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Indiana was prepared to make Stevens a 7-year, $70 million offer. Three dead, gunman on the run in Texas shooting

At least three people have been killed at an apartment complex in a shooting incident in Austin, Texas, US authorities say. Austin police, calling the situation “an active shooting incident,” said they were searching for a suspect. “While a suspect is still at large, it appears this is a domestic situation that is isolated and there is no risk to the general public,” Austin police said on Twitter. Kevin Durant suffers thigh injury vs. Heat, ruled out

Kevin Durant has been ruled out of the rest of Sunday afternoon’s game against the Miami Heat after suffering a left thigh contusion, the Brooklyn Nets announced.  Durant slowly left the bench area for the locker room during the first quarter. Nearly two-thirds of players say won’t attend workouts

There are now 19 teams whose players say they will not report to voluntary offseason NFL workouts without COVID-19 protocols.  The list has been growing since Tuesday when Denver Broncos players announced they will not show up to voluntary, in-person workouts.
