Things got testy early in Sunday’s game between the Los Angeles Rams and Baltimore Ravens. And the Ravens weren’t involved.  As Rams defenders broke their huddle during Baltimore’s opening possession, a scuffle ensued. Cornerback Jalen Ramsey shoved safety Taylor Rapp in the facemask, and teammates had to separate them.  It’s unclear what set Ramsey and Rapp off. The great debate over going for two found fresh fodder on Sunday when the Baltimore Ravens gambled the outcome of their game against the Green Bay Packers on one final play.  Video released on Monday showed how the decision went down on the Baltimore sideline. After the Ravens scored a late touchdown to cut their deficit to 31-30, head coach John Harbaugh rolled the dice on a two-point conversion with the game on the line. Turns out Yermín Mercedes won’t be the only person punished in the aftermath of this season’s biggest unwritten rules controversy. Minnesota Twins reliever Tyler Duffey was suspended three games and fined an undisclosed amount for intentionally throwing behind the White Sox rookie in Tuesday’s game, the league announced Thursday. Twins manager Rocco Baldelli was also suspended one game and fined for the pitch. Duffey is appealing the discipline, so he won’t serve the suspension now, but… Source link
