Achi Village in the Nagano Prefecture is home to a site that’s located at an altitude of 1,400 meters and requires taking a gondola ride that lasts 15 minutes. It’s said to be “the best place for stargazing in Japan.” For the upcoming stargazing season (from… Source link

Key inflation gauge doesn’t fully capture cooling rent growth

Key inflation gauge doesn’t fully capture cooling rent growth

A key component propping up consumer prices is cooling, but it’s not yet reflected in the government’s inflation measure, according to experts. Real-time data is showing softening rents, but the survey used to determine shelter prices lags current pricing. That disconnect could pose a problem… Source link

Research compiled by Stessa, a real estate software company, shows the coastal states have the highest rents. Hawaii,… Source link

At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, landlords in major cities across the country were rolling out the red carpet to attract renters. Faced with a glut of empty apartments amid an urban exodus, landlords in New York City for example, lured renters with things like three months free rent, American Express gift cards, and Citi Bike memberships. Now, with nearly half of the U.S. population vaccinated and the economy reopening, landlords aren’t feeling as generous. Jonathan Miller, president… Source link
