GOALIE Semyon Varlamov, NYI vs. PHI ($33): Varlamov is one of the better backups in the NHL. This year he has a 2.97 GAA but a .914 save percentage. The Jayson Tatum-Jaylen Brown duo is one to watch on Friday as the Celtics host the Kings. The NBA returns Friday with a packed 14-game schedule. One of the more intriguing matchups will feature the Celtics hosting the surging Kings. A battle between two tough defensive teams will take place when the Cavs face off with the Bucks. This article is part of our Yahoo DFS Hockey series. It’s an unusual day for this point in the NHL season. There is only one game on the schedule Friday, which means a random single-game DFS contest day for us all. The Vancouver Canucks are hosting the Los Angeles Kings. Obviously, I don’t want either team’s starting goalie. However, I have $105 in salary to divvy out to five players, one of whom is my Superstar and earns 1.5 times the points.
