Alabama has another Heisman Trophy winner. Crimson Tide QB Bryce Young was unsurprisingly named the 2021 Heisman winner on Saturday. Young entered the ceremony as a massive favorite after his performance in the SEC championship game. He was a finalist for the award along with Pitt QB Kenny Pickett, Ohio State QB C.J. DeVonta Smith wins 2020 Heisman Trophy

DeVonta Smith is the first receiver to win the Heisman in nearly 30 years. The Alabama star was awarded the 2020 Heisman Trophy on Tuesday ahead of teammate Mac Jones, Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence and Florida quarterback Kyle Trask. Smith is the first wide receiver to win the Heisman since Michigan’s Desmond Howard won the award after the 1991 season. Vince Lombardi was hard on everyone. But he loved Paul Hornung. Spend enough time listening to the old Green Bay Packers from the 1960s and they will share that if Lombardi had a favorite, it was his halfback from Notre Dame. Lombardi called Hornung “the best all-around back ever to play football.” Hornung died at age 84 after a battle with dementia. The Louisville Sports Commission announced Hornung’s death.
