Google is giving employees access to free COVID tests, but a union says access is unequal

Full-time Google employees have access to at-home COVID-19 tests for themselves and their families, but that’s not the case for thousands of company contractors and temporary workers, according to a Google engineer. Novak Djokovic attempted to use a previous COVID-19 diagnosis to receive a medical exemption to play in the Australian Open, according to the Associated Press. COVID prompts Miami to withdraw from Sun Bowl vs. WSU

The University of Miami withdrew on Sunday from its scheduled Sun Bowl appearance against Washington State, citing a COVID-19 outbreak on the roster.  The withdrawal prompted Washington State head coach Jake Dickert to offer to play “any opponent” in the game scheduled for Dec. 31 in El Paso, Texas. Tyrese Maxey’s Christmas weekend just got worse. One day after his home caught fire, the Philadelphia 76ers guard landed in the NBA’s health and safety protocols, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer’s Keith Pompey. Maxey is now questionable for the 76ers’ game on Sunday against the Washington Wizards.
