How bad is Google Photos’ compression anyway?

Google Photos has long offered one of the best deals in all of photo storage: it’ll back up your entire library for free, so long as it can compress the images a bit. But as of tomorrow, June 1st, that deal goes away, and you’re now eating through Google storage (which you may have to pay for) whether your images are compressed or not. With the change looming, I’ve been wondering how bad Google’s compression actually is. Does the compression leave my photos in “High Quality,”… Source link

Aaron Rodgers, Deshaun Watson trades about to become simpler

As the NFL rolls toward arguably the only dead period in its 12-month calendar, the two biggest rifts in the league — Aaron Rodgers vs. the Green Bay Packers and Deshaun Watson vs. the Houston Texans — are about to cross an important threshold. Come Wednesday, both Rodgers and Watson will officially become easier to trade, thanks to a provision that allows NFL teams to split salary cap hits over two seasons if a player is released or traded after June 1. That doesn’t mean a deal for… Source link

Is Yandex N.V. (NASDAQ:YNDX) Popular Amongst Insiders?

A look at the shareholders of Yandex N.V. (NASDAQ:YNDX) can tell us which group is most powerful. Institutions often own shares in more established companies, while it’s not unusual to see insiders own a fair bit of smaller companies. I generally like to see some degree of insider ownership, even if only a little. As Nassim Nicholas Taleb said, ‘Don’t tell me what you think, tell me what you have in your portfolio. Yandex has a market capitalization of US$24b, so it’s too big to fly… Source link

Where have draft trends changed?

Last week I did a “second chance” NFBC draft, which has an overall prize. It was the first draft, so zero ADP data was available, making things extra wild. It was interesting to see the difference between drafters valuing what’s happened so far versus pre-season expectations. I went extremely pitcher-heavy early just as I did back in March. As expected, given how MLB has played so far in 2021 (and how pitching stats stabilize faster), others shared the same strategy. Here are the draft… Source link

At US$67.54, Is Yandex N.V. (NASDAQ:YNDX) Worth Looking At Closely? – Yahoo Finance

TipRanks 3 ‘Strong Buy’ Stocks with 100% Upside Potential Every stock investor wants a strong return; that’s axiomatic, it’s why people get into the stock market to begin with. But the markets are inherently risky, and finding the sweet spot – the right combination of risk and reward – seems as much an art as a science. You can use science, however, to minimize the risk. We’re talking about statistical science, the study of numbers, their patterns, and the relationships between… Source link

Check out how Google Assistant and Apple’s Siri compare

Question: How does Google Assistant compare to Siri when it comes to using voice commands? Answer: The ability to use your voice to control devices is one of the biggest arms races in the tech sector at the moment. Voice recognition technology has come a long way from the early Bell Labs research in the 1950s that could only recognize 10 spoken digits. Voice recognition programs that touted a 90% accuracy rate started to appear in the ’90s, which sounded great until we realized that every… Source link
